What vaccines do you recommend for dogs?

Vaccines are categorized into core and non-core. Core vaccines are recommended for all pets whereas non-core are specific to your pet’s risk of developing some diseases. Your pet should start getting vaccinated in their first few weeks of life. If you’re interested in creating a vaccine plan for your pet, please contact us at 403-288-7299. Core vaccines we recommend include:

  • Canine parvovirus
  • Canine distemper
  • Infectious canine hepatitis
  • Rabies

After my puppy is vaccinated, do they still need vaccines when they are fully grown?

Absolutely. Vaccines are a regular part of your pet’s healthcare routine all throughout their life. Depending on the specific vaccine, your pet will need boosters or injections once every year or once every three years. You may also need to add or remove certain non-core vaccines in the plan as your lifestyle evolves, changing your pet’s exposure risk to certain conditions.
