Go to accessible site Close modal windowAgnes was born in Poland and raised in Edmonton. She attended the University of Alberta and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1998. She has an extensive background in primary care and emergency medicine. She has also filled the role of volunteer shelter veterinarian with the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton. Agnes spends her spare time at the gym, but her favorite spot is out in her garden. She is currently exploring her artistic side, painting. She and Marty have a blended family of five children, two older dogs (Charlie & Rylie) and a new puppy addition Stevie Ray!
Dr. Vander Pol was born in Calgary but raised in Victoria, BC. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a
Bachelor of Science in 1994. In 1999, she graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine where she was a friend and classmate of Dr. Parchello. Dr. Vander Pol enjoys small animal medicine cases and preventative medicine. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Vander Pol, her husband and two sons enjoy traveling to Arizona, doing obstacle course races and cycling.
Kayla was raised on an acreage outside of Lacombe, AB. She finished a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta and then attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2017. Kayla started her career at a mixed animal practice where she developed an interest in small animal surgical procedures. Her own pets have always played a big role in her life so preventative medicine has also always been important to her. In Kayla's spare time she enjoys heading to the mountains for hiking or snowboarding. She also loves to travel. When Kayla can't make it outside, she likes to stay in and paint.
Janna was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec where she graduated from the Animal Health Technology program from CEGEP Vanier in 1998. She moved to Calgary shortly after and started at Cranston Veterinary Hospital in 2009 when it opened. Janna has a special interest and experience in animal behaviour and training. In her spare time she trains and competes in formal obedience with her dogs, Rumour and Stitch. Janna also has an adorable British Short Hair named Reuben. When she is not here at the clinic, she enjoys playing ringette, spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens.
Jennifer graduated in 2004 from Olds College Animal Health Technology program and has enjoyed being a practicing Veterinary Technician in primary care ever since. Jennifer believes that primary care veterinary medicine is the best way to help pet owners and their pets live the best and most enriched life together through education and preventative health care. She is a born and raised Alberta city slicker but her heart lies in exploring the great outdoors with her family and friends, enjoying hiking, backpacking and camping. Jennifer spends most of her time doting over her furkids Emma and Murphy, and is an active member of Sniff Alberta where her Retriever cross Emma excels at the new and upcoming sport of canine nosework.
Courtney graduated from NAIT as an Animal Health Technologist in 2013. She began working with Dr. Parchello almost immediately following her graduation. Courtney’s love of animals combined with her attention to detail makes her a great asset to the Cranston team. At home, Courtney has a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix named Milo and a very energetic Border Collie Jasper. The aspect of being an AHT that Courtney enjoys most is the rewarding feeling she gets knowing a difference is being made in our client’s and their pet’s lives.
Erika was born and raised in Calgary.
She started working as a veterinarian technician assistant about 8 years ago. Moving from emergency and surgery to Cranston veterinary hospital In July 2020. Working with all kinds of animals has always been her passion although she definitely has a soft spot for chihuahuas. At home Erika and her husband are surrounded by an extensive animal family which includes a teeny tiny chihuahua named Shandi, a chihuahua Pom mix named Fox and a schnauzer poodle mix named Bear as well as 5 cats, and giant 50lbs tortoise Bob!
