We're pleased to offer the following services at Cranston Veterinary Hospital:
Examinations and Consultations
Annual health examinations are an important way to monitor your pet's health. Pets age much faster than their human companions, and regular examinations help to detect any arising conditions. With knowledge of our pet's health, recommendations can be made regarding life style, diet and any necessary interventions to help support your pet's unique needs.
Examinations and consultations are also available for acute illness or injury. Your pet will be examined, and any recommendations will be discussed. We strive to help you help your pet live the best quality of life possible.
Vaccination and Parasite Control Programs
Through our vaccination and parasite control programs, our goal is to prevent infectious disease in your pets, as well as reduce risk of infectious disease to the humans that live with them. Vaccination and parasite control programs are individualized to your pet depending on their unique needs. Factors such as risk of exposure, age and lifestyle are all factors in developing a plan suitable for your pet.
Our clinic has a fully equipped surgical suite and offers a variety of surgical services for your pet. Spays, neuters, lump removal, abdominal surgery, ocular surgery and orthopedic surgery are offered by our experienced veterinarians. Where specialist surgery is required, referrals can be made to Calgary's local specialty centres.
All pets undergoing general anesthesia at Cranston Veterinary Hospital are placed on intravenous fluids for vascular support and are monitored by a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologist. Pain management is a priority at Cranston Veterinary Hospital and we strive to keep your pet as comfortable and stress free as possible.
